Ingredients

  • 15 ounces chicken breast (not breaded)
  • teaspoons cornstarch 
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt 
  • 0.3 teaspoon pepper white
  • pound broccoli 
  • tablespoons vegetable oil 
  •  to 2 chilies slit fresh green hot very thin cut into slices
  • tablespoons black bean garlic sauce 
  • teaspoons garlic finely chopped
  • teaspoon sugar 
  • teaspoon ginger finely chopped
  •  spring onion

Directions

  1. Mix chicken, cornstarch, salt and white pepper in medium bowl. Cover and refrigerate 20 minutes.
  2. Peel outer layer from broccoli.
  3. Cut broccoli lengthwise into 1-inch stems; remove flowerets.
  4. Cut stems diagonally into 1/4-inch slices.
  5. Place broccoli flowerets and stems in boiling water; heat to boiling. Cover and cook 1 minute; drain. Immediately rinse with cold water; drain.
  6. Heat wok or 12-inch skillet over high heat.
  7. Add oil; rotate wok to coat side.
  8. Add chili, brown bean sauce, garlic, sugar and gingerroot; stir-fry 10 seconds.
  9. Add chicken; stir-fry about 2 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink in center.
  10. Add broccoli and onions; stir-fry about 1 minute or until broccoli is heated through.
