Ingredients

  • tablespoon lemon zest grated
  • tablespoons juice of lemon 
  • 0.8 teaspoon pepper red crushed
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt 
  • cloves garlic finely chopped
  • tablespoons vegetable oil 
  • lb shrimp frozen thawed deveined uncooked peeled (22 to 25 shrimp)
  • 0.5 cup basil fresh loosely packed
  • 0.5 cup salad dressing

Directions

  1. Set oven control to broil. In medium glass or plastic bowl, mix lemon peel, lemon juice, red pepper, salt, garlic and 1 tablespoon of the oil.
  2. Add shrimp; toss to coat. In ungreased 15x10x1-inch pan, spread shrimp.
  3. Broil shrimp with tops 2 to 3 inches from heat 3 to 5 minutes or until shrimp are pink and firm.
  4. In food processor, place basil and remaining 2 tablespoons oil. Cover and process until chopped.
  5. Add mayonnaise; cover and process until smooth.
  6. Serve shrimp with mayonnaise.
