Ingredients

  • 0.5 teaspoon pepper red crushed
  • tablespoons juice of lime fresh
  •  lime wedges 
  • teaspoon soya sauce low-sodium
  • 0.5 cup passion fruit pulp ( 4 passion fruit)
  • 0.3 teaspoon salt 
  • 1.5 pounds shrimp deveined peeled
  • 0.5 cup sugar 
  • 0.5 cup water

Directions

  1. Bring water and sugar to a boil in a small saucepan, stirring until sugar dissolves.
  2. Add passion fruit pulp, stirring well, and cook 1 minute.
  3. Remove from heat; cool 15 minutes.
  4. Strain passion fruit mixture through a sieve into a large bowl; discard seeds.
  5. Add lime juice, soy sauce, red pepper, and salt, stirring well. Set 1/2 cup passion fruit mixture aside.
  6. Add shrimp to remaining passion fruit mixture, and toss well to coat. Cover and refrigerate 15 minutes.
  7. Prepare grill.
  8. Thread 4 shrimp on each of 8 (10-inch) skewers.
  9. Place skewers on grill rack coated with cooking spray. Grill 2 minutes on each side or until done, basting with reserved 1/2 cup passion fruit mixture.
  10. Serve with lime wedges.
