  • 10.8 ounce condensed cream of cheddar cheese soup canned
  • 28 ounce chicken broth canned
  • cups kernel corn whole frozen thawed
  • cups regular grits uncooked
  • cups heavy whipping cream 
  • 1.5 teaspoons hot sauce 
  •  jalapeno minced
  • 1.5 teaspoons salt 
  • 0.5 pound sausage smoked with hillshire farms) hot sliced

Directions

  1. Combine first 8 ingredients in a 4-quart slow cooker. Stir in sausage.
  2. * Cover and cook on LOW 4 1/2 hours or until thickened, stirring once after 3 hours. Stir in butter, and serve immediately.
  3. Sausage Substitution Tip: Use andouille sausage or regular smoked sausage if you find the hot smoked sausage too spicy.
