  • 0.3 cup amaretto 
  • ounces bittersweet chocolate 61% chopped (do not exceed cacao)
  • ounces cherries fresh pitted halved
  • tablespoons smucker's cherry preserves 
  • 1.5 teaspoons espresso powder instant
  • 0.7 cup cup heavy whipping cream 
  • tablespoon honey 
  • pint whipped cream 
  • servings pistachios chopped
  • tablespoons butter unsalted ()
  • servings whipped cream unsweetened

Directions

  1. Bring amaretto and preserves to boilin saucepan. Reduce heat to medium;boil gently until mixture is reduced to 3tablespoons, stirring often, 3 to 4 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat.
  3. Add cherries; let soak atroom temperature at least 3 hours. DO AHEAD: Can be made 1 day ahead. Cover; chill.
  4. Bring 2/3 cup cream, honey, andespresso powder to simmer in another smallsaucepan over medium heat.
  5. Remove fromheat.
  6. Add chocolate and butter; whisk untilsmooth. DO AHEAD: Fudge sauce can be made 1 day ahead. Cover and chill. Rewarmjust until pourable before using.
  7. Spoon 1 tablespoon fudge sauce intoeach of 6 dessert glasses.
  8. Add 1 scooppistachio gelato and 1 scoop vanilla gelato toeach glass.
  9. Drizzle 1 tablespoon fudge sauceover gelato on each. Top with whippedcream, cherry mixture, and pistachios.
