Ingredients

  • cup strawberries fresh hulled
  • 0.3 cup tequila 
  • tablespoon pear liqueur orange-flavored
  •  juice of lemon 
  • tablespoons sugar 
  • cup ice cubes ( 8 cubes)
  • large basil fresh
  • sprigs basil fresh
  •  strawberries whole

Directions

  1. In blender, place 1 cup strawberries, the tequila, liqueur, lemon juice and sugar. Cover; blend on high speed until strawberries are pureed.
  2. Add ice. Cover; blend 30 to 60 seconds longer or until ice is crushed.
  3. Add basil leaves. Cover; blend until basil is finely chopped and mixture is well blended.
  4. Pour into 2 margarita glasses.
  5. Garnish each with 1 basil sprig and 1 strawberry.
  6. Serve immediately.
