  • tablespoon juice of lemon fresh
  • pound strawberries fresh frozen hulled thawed quartered (or , )
  • 0.7 cup sugar

Directions

  1. Combine 1 pound fresh (or frozen,thawed) hulled, quarteredstrawberries and 2/3 cup sugarin a large heavy skillet. Stir in1 peeled, coarsely grated large
  2. Granny Smith apple. Cook overmedium-low heat, stirring andbreaking up strawberries, untilsugar dissolves. Simmer untiljam is thickened, 10-15 minutes.Stir in 1 tablespoon fresh lemonjuice.
