  • tablespoons butter 
  • 0.8 cup buttermilk 
  • 1.5 cups flour 
  • 0.3 teaspoon grating nutmeg fresh grated
  • 1.8 cups maple syrup 
  • tablespoons irish whiskey 
  • large pinch salt 
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla 
  • 1.3 cups water
