  • large onion thinly sliced
  • tablespoons pinenuts toasted
  • 1.5 pounds radicchio thinly cored cut into 8 wedges
  • 0.3 cup raisins 
  • 1.5 teaspoons salt 
  • tablespoons sugar 
  • tablespoons butter unsalted
