  • tablespoons beef broth 
  • tablespoons firmly brown sugar packed
  • 0.8 cup catsup 
  • teaspoon hot sauce 
  • 0.3 cup juice of lemon 
  • 0.3 cup onion chopped
  • tablespoons worcestershire

Directions

  1. In a 1 1/2- to 2-quart pan, combine 3/4 cup catsup, 6 tablespoons beef broth or water, 6 tablespoons Worcestershire, 1/4 cup lemon juice, 3 tablespoons firmly packed brown sugar, 1/4 cup chopped onion, and 1 teaspoon hot sauce.
  2. Simmer until reduced to 1 1/2 cups, about 10 minutes.
  3. Add more hot sauce to taste.
  4. Serve warm or cool. If making ahead, chill airtight up to 2 weeks.
