Ingredients

  • 0.7 cup beef broth 
  • ounces water chestnuts drained finely chopped canned
  • 0.5 cup chili sauce 
  • tablespoon cider vinegar 
  • tablespoon corn oil mazola®
  • 0.8 cup plus dark light karo®
  • 0.3 cup bread crumbs dry
  •  eggs 
  • 0.3 cup green onions finely chopped
  • teaspoon ground ginger spice islands®
  • pound ground pork lean
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. For Meatballs: MIX pork, water chestnuts, egg, bread crumbs and salt in a medium bowl. SHAPE into 1-inch meatballs; set aside. For Sauce: COOK green onions in oil in large skillet, stirring frequently, for 1 to 2 minutes. Blend in broth, corn syrup, chili sauce, vinegar and ginger.
  2. Add meatballs; bring to boil. Reduce heat to medium. SIMMER 15 minutes.
  3. Remove meatballs with slotted spoon. Increase heat to medium-high; gently boil sauce 6 to 9 minutes or until thickened. POUR sauce over meatballs.
  4. Serve with cocktail picks.
