  • 18 ounces cheese tortellini refrigerated
  • 0.5 cup onion chopped
  • 0.3 cup butter cubed
  • 1.5 cups peas frozen thawed
  • cup mushrooms fresh thinly sliced
  • cup mushrooms fresh thinly sliced
  • cup finely-chopped ham cubed fully cooked
  • 1.8 cups cup heavy whipping cream 
  • 0.3 teaspoon pepper 
  • 0.8 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • serving parmesan shredded

Directions

  1. Cook tortellini according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, saute onion in butter until tender.
  2. Add the peas, mushrooms and ham; cook until mushrooms are tender. Stir in cream and pepper; heat through. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted.
  3. Drain tortellini and place in a serving dish; add the sauce and toss to coat.
  4. Sprinkle with shredded Parmesan cheese if desired.
