  • cup ice cubes 
  • cup milk 
  • ounces bittersweet chocolate chopped
  • 0.3 cup sugar 
  • tablespoons cocoa powder unsweetened
  • cups premium vanilla ice cream 
  • 15 servings garnishes: whipped cream shaved

Directions

  1. Combine milk and sugar in a small saucepan, and cook over medium heat, stirring often, 3 minutes or until sugar dissolves.
  2. Remove pan from heat, and add chocolate and cocoa powder.
  3. Let stand 5 minutes; whisk until smooth.
  4. Let cool to room temperature, about 30 minutes.
  5. Combine ice cubes, milk mixture, and ice cream in a blender, and process until smooth and slushy.
  6. Pour chocolate syrup down the insides of 4 glasses; pour in iced chocolate.
  7. Garnish, if desired.
