  • tablespoons vegetable oil 
  • cup onion finely chopped
  • 0.5 cup carrots finely chopped
  • 0.5 cup celery finely chopped
  • clove garlic finely chopped
  • 0.3 cup flour all-purpose
  • teaspoons thyme leaves dried
  • 0.3 teaspoon pepper 
  • cups turkey diced cooked
  • cups chicken broth (from two 32-oz cartons)
  • serving parsley fresh chopped
  • 12 oz frangelico frozen

Directions

  1. In 4-quart saucepan, heat oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Add onion, carrot, celery and garlic; cook about 2 minutes, stirring frequently, until crisp-tender.
  3. Gradually stir in flour, thyme and pepper; cook about 1 minute, stirring constantly. Stir in turkey and broth; heat to boiling.
  4. Stir in frozen spaetzle. Cook 2 to 3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until spaetzle are tender.
  5. Sprinkle with parsley.
