Ingredients

  • tablespoon juice of lime fresh
  • 0.5 cup sugar 
  • 1.8 pounds seeded/seedless watermelon seedless cubed (from a 4 pound melon)

Equipment

  • blender
  • baking pan
  • aluminum foil

Directions

  1. Purée all ingredients in a blender until smooth.
  2. Pour into a 9x9x2" metal baking pan. Freezemixture for 1 hour. Stir, mashing any frozenparts with the back of a fork. Cover and freezemixture until firm, about 2 hours. Using a fork,scrape granita vigorously to form icy flakes. DO AHEAD: Can be made 3 days ahead. Covertightly with foil and keep frozen. Give it aquick scrape before serving.
