  • quarts apple cider 
  •  cinnamon sticks 
  • 1.5 cups juice of lemon 
  • cups orange juice 
  • cups sugar 
  • cup water 
  • teaspoons allspice whole

  • sauce pan
  • cheesecloth

Directions

  1. Tie first 3 ingredients together in a piece of cheesecloth or coffee filter.
  2. Bring cider and sugar to a boil in a large saucepan.
  3. Add spice bag; reduce heat, and simmer, covered, 10 minutes.
  4. Remove spice bag; discard.
  5. Stir in orange juice and remaining ingredients; simmer 5 minutes or until heated.
  6. Serve hot.
