  • 0.8 cup firmly brown sugar light packed
  • 0.3 cup butter softened
  • large eggs 
  • cups flour all-purpose
  • teaspoon ground cinnamon 
  • cup pecans chopped
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt 
  • servings streusel topping 
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Beat butter and sugar at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy.
  2. Add egg, beating well. Stir in squash and vanilla.
  3. Combine flour and next 4 ingredients; gradually add to butter mixture, beating at low speed after each addition.
  4. Pour batter into a greased 9-inch square pan.
  5. Sprinkle with Streusel Topping.
  6. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes. Cool cake in pan on a wire rack.
