  •  bay leaves 
  •  carrots peeled sliced
  • stalks celery sliced
  •  chicken leg quarters skinless
  • small dill pickles thinly sliced
  • pinch marjoram dried
  • tablespoon flour all-purpose
  • tablespoons parsley fresh chopped
  • clove garlic minced
  • 0.5 small head cabbage green chopped
  • servings salt and ground pepper black to taste
  • pinch ground thyme 
  •  onion sliced
  • 0.3 cup cup heavy whipping cream sour
  • cups water or as needed to cover

Directions

  1. Place chicken legs in a large pot and cover with water.
  2. Add cabbage, carrots, celery, onion, bay leaves, parsley, garlic, thyme, marjoram, salt, and black pepper.

  4. Transfer 1 cup chicken and vegetable broth to a saucepan.
  5. Heat broth and pickles over medium-low for about 15 minutes. Return pickle broth to large pot.
