  •  bacon crumbled cooked
  • 0.3 cup flour all-purpose
  • 0.1 teaspoon pepper white
  • quart half and half 
  • cups milk 
  • medium onion chopped
  • teaspoon salt 
  • ounces cheddar cheese shredded

Directions

  1. Peel potatoes, and coarsely mash with a fork.
  2. Melt butter in a Dutch oven over medium heat; add onion, and saut until tender.
  3. Add flour, stirring until smooth. Stir in potatoes, half-and-half, and next 3 ingredients; cook over low heat until thoroughly heated. Top each serving with cheese and bacon.
