  • tablespoons brown sugar 
  • 0.3 cup dates chopped
  • large eggs 
  • 1.7 cups flour all-purpose
  • tablespoons flour all-purpose
  • 0.3 teaspoon ground cinnamon 
  • 0.3 teaspoon salt 
  • tablespoon stick margarine chilled cut into small pieces
  • 0.8 cup sugar 
  • tablespoons vegetable oil

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 35
  2. Lightly spoon flour into dry measuring cups; level with a knife.
  3. Combine flour, soda, and salt in a bowl.
  4. Place banana and next 3 ingredients in a bowl; beat with a mixer at medium speed until blended.
  5. Add flour mixture; stir just until moist. Stir in dates.
  6. Pour batter into an 8 x 4-inch loaf pan coated with cooking spray.
  7. Combine brown sugar, 2 tablespoons flour, and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  8. Cut in butter with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal.
  9. Sprinkle evenly over batter.
  10. Bake at 350 for 50 to 55 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan on a wire rack 10 minutes; remove from pan, and cool completely.
