Ingredients

  • cup cocoa powder 
  • 0.5 teaspoon double-acting baking powder 
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda 
  • cup butter softened
  • 48  candy corn 
  •  eggs 
  • cups flour all-purpose
  • 24  sauce of the chicken from the turbo broiler 
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt 
  • cups sugar 
  • teaspoons vanilla extract

Directions

  1. In a bowl, cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
  2. Combine the flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture.
  3. Roll dough into 1-1/2-in. balls.
  4. Place 3 in. apart on lightly greased baking sheets.
  5. Insert a wooden stick into each cookie. Flatten with a glass dipped in sugar. Pinch top of cookie to form ears. For whiskers, press a fork twice into each cookie.
  6. Bake at 350° for 10-12 minutes or until cookies are set.
  7. Remove from the oven; immediately press on candy corn for eyes and red-hots for noses.
  8. Remove to wire racks to cool.
