  • 2.5 teaspoons double-acting baking powder 
  •  eggs beaten
  • 3.3 cups flour all-purpose
  • teaspoons milk 
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt 
  • 0.7 cup shortening 
  • 1.5 cups sugar 
  • 36 servings sugar green black
  • teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, blend shortening and sugar; add eggs, vanilla and milk. In a separate bowl, mix remaining ingredients.
  2. Add flour mixture to shortening mixture; stir until well blended. Divide dough into 3 or 4 balls; wrap in plastic wrap and chill for at least one hour.
  3. Roll out dough 1/4-inch thick on a floured surface.
  4. Cut out shapes with cookie cutters.
  5. Transfer to ungreased baking sheats.
  6. Bake at 400 degrees for 7 to 9 minutes. Cool before frosting. Tint Powdered Sugar Frosting black; spread on cookies.
  7. Sprinkle with black sanding sugar while still wet.
  8. Add eyes with gren gel icing.
