  • 220 tightly brown sugar dark packed
  •  eggs lightly beaten
  • teaspoon vanilla 
  • 0.5 teaspoon double-acting baking powder 
  • 0.1 teaspoon baking soda 
  • pinch salt 
  • 128 flour all-purpose
  • 60 butterscotch chips chopped ( walnuts and chocolate chips are equally tasty)

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly butter and flour an 8X8-inch pan (20 cm x 20 cm).
  2. Whisk together the melted butter and sugar in a bowl.

  4. Add the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt, mix it all together.
  5. Add the butterscotch chips or other mix-ins.
  6. Pour into the pan and spread evenly.
