  • 0.5 teaspoon pepper black freshly ground
  • teaspoon dijon mustard 
  • teaspoons olive oil extravirgin
  •  garlic cloves minced
  • 0.1 teaspoon ground pepper red
  • cups bread italian cubed toasted (1-inch)
  • 0.1 teaspoon kosher salt 
  • tablespoons mayonnaise reduced-fat
  • 0.3 cup nonfat buttermilk 
  • cup onion vertically sliced
  • cups plum tomatoes chopped ( 6)
  • cups torn romaine lettuce 
  • slices center-cut bacon 
  • teaspoon citrus champagne vinegar

Directions

  1. Combine first 9 ingredients in a large bowl, stirring with a whisk. Set aside.
  2. Cook bacon in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat until crisp.
  3. Remove bacon from pan, reserving 2 teaspoons drippings. Crumble bacon, and set aside.
  4. Add reserved drippings to bowl; stir with a whisk.
  5. Add bacon and remaining ingredients; toss well.
