Ingredients

  •  muffins split english toasted
  • 1.5 cups hash browns shredded frozen thawed
  • 0.5 cup onion finely chopped
  • oz pepper jack cheese 
  • 0.5 cup bell pepper red finely chopped
  • 19.5 oz turkey sausage refrigerated italian hot
  • teaspoons vegetable oil

  • kitchen thermometer

Directions

  1. Remove casing from sausage; crumble sausage into medium bowl.
  2. Add onion, bell pepper and potatoes; mix well. Shape mixture into 6 patties, about 1 inch thick.
  3. In 12-inch nonstick skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Cook patties in oil 13 to 16 minutes, turning once or twice, until thermometer inserted in center of patties reads 165F.
  4. Top each patty with 1 slice cheese. Cover; let stand 1 minute until cheese is melted.
  5. Serve on toasted muffins.
