Ingredients

  • 0.5 teaspoon double-acting baking powder 
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda 
  • 12 servings creamy holiday glaze 
  • cup firmly domino brown sugar dark packed
  • cup butter softened
  • large eggs 
  • cups flour all-purpose
  • cup domino granulated sugar 
  • cup milk 
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt 
  • teaspoons vanilla extract 

Equipment

Directions

  1. Beat butter at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy; gradually add dark brown and granulated sugars, beating well.
  2. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating until blended after each addition.
  3. Combine flour and next 3 ingredients; add to butter mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Beat at low speed until blended after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
  4. Pour into a greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.
  5. Bake at 325 for 1 hour and 30 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan on a wire rack 10 minutes.
  6. Remove from pan; cool completely on a wire rack.
  7. Serve with warm Creamy Holiday Glaze.
