There is nothing quite like the magic of Valentine's Day desserts that combine the gooey, rich texture of brownies with the creamy, tangy allure of cheesecake. These Brownie Cheesecake Hearts are a delightful culinary fusion designed to impress loved ones, offering a perfect balance of decadent chocolate and smooth dairy in every bite. What makes this recipe truly special is its charming presentation; by using small heart-shaped baking molds, you transform a standard dessert into a romantic gesture that is as visually stunning as it is delicious. The process is surprisingly accessible, requiring just a few simple steps to achieve a professional-looking result. You start by creating a dense, fudgy brownie base infused with chocolate chunks, then artfully swirl in a light and fluffy cream cheese filling to create beautiful marbled patterns within each heart. The true showstopper, however, is the final touch: a warm, glossy chocolate ganache made from melted chocolate chips and heavy cream. This topping is spread over the hot brownies just before the final bake, allowing it to melt slightly and create a luscious, velvety crust that seals in all the flavors. With a preparation time of just 75 minutes and a serving size perfect for a small gathering or a cozy date night, this treat is ideal for sharing. Whether you are looking to celebrate a special occasion or simply want to indulge in a sophisticated dessert, these hearts deliver an unforgettable experience. Their calorie count is satisfyingly rich, making them the perfect reward for your kitchen creativity. So, gather your ingredients, preheat your oven, and get ready to craft a dessert that melts in your mouth and warms your heart.

  • 0.8 cup chocolate chips
  • ounce cream cheese softened
  •  eggs
  • 0.3 cup heavy cream
  • teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.3 cup vegetable oil
  • tablespoons water
  • 0.3 cup sugar white

Equipment

  • bowl
  • oven
  • knife
  • hand mixer
  • microwave

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Butter the heart-shaped molds.
  3. Beat brownie mix, vegetable oil, water, and 1 egg together in a bowl until smooth and well mixed.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared heart molds.
  5. Beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract together with an electric mixer in a large bowl until light and fluffy. The mixture should be noticeably lighter in color. Beat in 1 egg until smooth.
  6. Spoon a dollop of the cream cheese mixture into each heart mold and mix slightly with a knife to make decorative swirls of cream cheese filling in the brownie batter.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
  8. While brownies are baking, place chocolate chips into a microwave-safe bowl and microwave for 30-second intervals, stirring after each time, until the chocolate is warm, smooth, and melted.
  9. Stir heavy cream into the chocolate.
  10. Mixture will be clumpy.
  11. Remove hearts from oven, and immediately spread about 1 tablespoon of chocolate mixture over each heart.
  12. Return the hearts to the oven and bake until the chocolate topping spreads out, about 5 minutes. Cool before serving.
