  • 0.3 teaspoon double-acting baking powder 
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda 
  • large eggs lightly beaten
  • cup flour all-purpose
  • cup buttermilk low-fat
  • servings bourbon-pear sauce 
  • 0.3 teaspoon salt 
  • tablespoon stick margarine cooled melted
  • teaspoon sugar

Directions

  1. Lightly spoon flour into a dry measuring cup, and level with a knife.
  2. Combine the flour and the next 4 ingredients (flour through salt) in a large bowl.
  3. Combine the buttermilk, butter, and egg, and add to the flour mixture, stirring with a whisk until smooth.
  4. Spoon about 1/4 cup batter onto a hot nonstick griddle or nonstick skillet. Turn pancakes when tops are covered with bubbles and edges look cooked.
  5. Serve with Bourbon-Pear Sauce.
