  • 1.5 teaspoons almond extract 
  • cup butter 
  • cup confectioners' sugar sifted
  •  eggs 
  • 2.5 cups flour all-purpose
  • 0.5 cup peppermint candies hard crushed
  • teaspoon salt 
  • teaspoon vanilla extract 
  • 0.5 cup sugar white

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine butter, confectioners' sugar, egg, almond extract and vanilla extract. beat until smooth.
  3. Mix in flour and salt.
  4. Roll into 4 inch strips, place on baking sheet. Curve top down to form handle of cane.
  5. Bake in preheated oven for 9 to 10 minutes. While still warm, remove from pan and sprinkle with candy and sugar mixture.
