Ingredients

  • cups pieces bartlett pears ripe peeled (1-inch) ()
  • 0.3 cup brown sugar dark packed
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar dark packed
  • 0.5 cup cranberries dried
  • 0.3 teaspoon ground cardamom 
  • teaspoon ground cinnamon 
  • tablespoons butter chilled cut into small pieces
  • cup quick-cooking oats 
  • 0.3 cup flour whole-wheat

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 37
  2. Combine first 4 ingredients; cut in margarine with a pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse meal. Set aside.
  3. Combine pears, cranberries, 1/4 cup brown sugar, and cardamom in a 13 x 9-inch baking dish; toss well.
  4. Sprinkle with oats mixture.
  5. Bake at 375 for 30 minutes or until pears are tender.
  6. Serve warm with vanilla frozen yogurt, if desired.
