Ingredients

  • slices oscar mayer bacon 
  • cups pasta uncooked
  • 0.1 tsp pepper red crushed
  • 0.3 cup basil fresh chopped
  • cloves garlic minced
  • cup milk italian* three cheese blend shredded 2% kraft
  • 29 oz no-salt-added tomatoes diced with basil, garlic and oregano, drained canned
  • small onion chopped
  • 0.3 cup no-salt-added tomato paste

  • paper towels
  • sauce pan

Directions

  1. Cook pasta in large saucepan as directed on package, omitting salt. Meanwhile, cook bacon in large skillet until crisp.
  2. Remove bacon from skillet, reserving 1 tsp. drippings in skillet.
  3. Drain bacon on paper towels.
  4. Add onions to reserved drippings; cook and stir on medium heat 5 min. Stir in garlic; cook 1 min.
  5. Add tomatoes, tomato paste and crushed pepper; simmer 5 to 6 min. or until thickened, stirring occasionally.
  6. Drain pasta; return to pan. Crumble bacon.
  7. Add to pasta with sauce; toss to coat. Spoon onto platter; top with cheese and basil.
