  • teaspoon double-acting baking powder 
  • tablespoons butter chilled cut into small pieces
  • 0.3 cup egg substitute 
  • 1.5 ounces flour all-purpose
  • 0.1 teaspoon ground pepper red
  • cups regular oats 
  • 0.8 cup onion finely chopped
  • ounces parmesan cheese fresh grated
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt 
  • 0.3 cup water

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 40
  2. Heat a small skillet over medium-high heat. Coat pan with cooking spray.
  3. Add onion; saut 8 minutes or until tender.
  4. Remove from heat; cool.
  5. Lightly spoon flour into a dry measuring cup; level with a knife.
  6. Place flour, oats, baking powder, salt, and pepper in a food processor; process until oats are coarsely ground (about 10 seconds).
  7. Add butter; pulse 3 times or until combined.
  8. Add onion and cheese; pulse 3 times or until blended.
  9. Place mixture in a medium bowl.
  10. Add 1/4 cup water and egg substitute, stirring until moist.
  11. Let mixture stand 1 minute.
  12. Place mixture onto a lightly floured surface; knead lightly 3 times (dough will be sticky). Divide dough in half; press each half into a 5-inch circle.
  13. Cut each circle into 8 wedges.
  14. Place wedges on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray.
  15. Bake at 400 for 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
  16. Serve warm.
