Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup butter melted
  • 14 ounce condensed milk sweetened canned
  • cups cookie crumbs crushed finely
  • ounce cream cheese softened
  • 14  crème de cassis liqueur chopped thin
  •  eggs 
  • tablespoon peppermint extract 
  • 0.5 cup bittersweet chocolate 
  • teaspoons shortening crisco®

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. In medium bowl, combine cookie crumbs and butter; mix well. Press crumb mixture firmly on bottom of 9-inch baking pan.
  2. Bake 6 minutes. Cool.
  3. In medium bowl, beat cream cheese until fluffy. Gradually beat in sweetened condensed milk, eggs and peppermint extract until smooth.
  4. Pour over cooled cookie base and bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool 20 minutes; chill.
  5. Just before serving, in heavy saucepan, melt chocolate chips and shortening.
  6. Drizzle over top of chilled cheesecake bars.
  7. Sprinkle chopped chocolate mint candies over the top.
  8. Cut into bars. Store leftovers covered in refrigerator.
