Ingredients

  • 0.3 cup butter 
  • 11.5 ounce bittersweet chocolate divided
  • large eggs 
  • 0.8 cup flour all-purpose
  • 0.8 cup granulated sugar 
  • 0.5 cup hazelnuts toasted chopped
  • servings powdered sugar 
  • 0.3 teaspoon salt 
  • teaspoon vanilla extract 
  • tablespoons water

Directions

  1. Combine first 3 ingredients in a 3 1/2-quart saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
  2. Remove from heat, and stir in 1 cup chocolate chunks until smooth.
  3. Let cool 5 minutes.
  4. Add eggs, 1 at a time, stirring just until blended. Stir in vanilla.
  5. Combine flour and salt; stir in remaining chocolate chunks and hazelnuts. Stir flour mixture into chocolate mixture in saucepan.
  6. Spread into a lightly greased 9-inch square pan.
  7. Bake at 325 for 23 to 28 minutes. Cool in pan on a wire rack. Dust with powdered sugar.
  8. Cut into squares.
