  • 0.8 cup sugar 
  • teaspoons double-acting baking powder 
  • 0.3 teaspoon baking soda 
  • 0.3 teaspoon salt 
  • 0.3 teaspoon nutmeg 
  • 0.8 cup buttermilk 
  • 0.3 cup butter melted
  • teaspoon vanilla 
  •  eggs beaten
  • 0.3 cup butter melted
  • tablespoons sugar 
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350°F. Grease bottom only of 9-inch square pan with shortening or spray bottom with cooking spray. In large bowl, stir coffee cake ingredients with spoon just until dry ingredients are moistened.

  3. Bake 30 to 40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  4. Generously pierce hot cake with fork.
