Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup butter melted
  • ounce cream cheese softened
  •  egg white 
  • tablespoon ground cinnamon 
  • 0.5 cup powdered sugar 
  • cup sugar 
  • 16 ounce bread white thinly sliced

Equipment

  • baking sheet
  • oven
  • hand mixer

Directions

  1. Trim crusts from bread slices.
  2. Roll slices to 1/4-inch thickness.
  3. Beat cream cheese, egg white, and powdered sugar at medium speed with an electric mixer until smooth.
  4. Spread evenly on 1 side of each bread slice.
  5. Roll up, forming logs.
  6. Stir together granulated sugar and cinnamon in a shallow dish. Dip logs in melted butter, and roll in sugar mixture.
  7. Place on lightly greased baking sheets.
  8. Bake logs at 350 for 15 minutes.
  9. Remove to wire racks to cool.
  10. Note: We used Pepperidge Farm very thin sliced white bread.
