  • teaspoon baking soda 
  • tablespoons butter softened
  • ounces cake flour 
  • tablespoon plus light
  • large eggs 
  • 3.3 ounces flour all-purpose
  • cup granulated sugar 
  • 0.3 teaspoon ground cinnamon 
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon 
  • 0.3 teaspoon salt 
  • 0.3 cup sugar 
  • teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Place granulated sugar and butter in a bowl; beat with a mixer at medium speed until well blended (about 3 minutes).
  2. Add corn syrup, vanilla, and egg; beat 3 minutes or until well blended.
  3. Lightly spoon cake flour and all-purpose flour into dry measuring cups; level with a knife.
  4. Combine flours, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon.
  5. Add flour mixture to butter mixture; stir until just combined. Wrap in plastic wrap; chill 1 hour.
  6. Preheat oven to 37
