Ingredients

  • 0.3 teaspoon pepper black freshly ground
  • large egg whites 
  • 0.3 cup parsley fresh chopped
  • pound ground sirloin 
  • tablespoons catsup divided
  • 0.5 cup onion chopped
  • 0.8 teaspoon oregano dried
  • 0.5 cup panko bread crumbs (Japanese breadcrumbs)
  • 0.3 teaspoon salt 
  • teaspoon worcestershire sauce

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 35
  2. Heat a small skillet over medium heat. Coat pan with cooking spray.
  3. Add onion to pan; cook 6 minutes or until tender, stirring occasionally.
  4. Remove from heat; cool slightly.
  5. Combine onion, 3 tablespoons ketchup, and remaining ingredients in a bowl, and gently stir just until combined.
  6. Place meat mixture on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray; shape into an 8 x 4-inch loaf.
  7. Brush top of loaf with remaining 3 tablespoons ketchup.
  8. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes or until a thermometer registers 16
  9. Let stand 10 minutes; cut into 8 slices.
  10. Wine Pairing: Trivento, Amado Sur, Argentina ($15), is a soft, malbec-based red blend with mild tannins, yet it's hearty enough to stand up to the flavorful meat loaf.
