  • 1.3 cups flour all-purpose
  • 0.8 cup cornmeal yellow
  • 0.3 cup sugar 
  • teaspoons double-acting baking powder 
  • teaspoon baking soda 
  • teaspoon salt 
  • cup buttermilk 
  • 0.3 cup butter melted
  •  eggs slightly beaten
  • oz chilis green undrained chopped canned

  1. Heat oven to 400°. Lightly grease bottom and sides of square pan, 8x8x2 or

  4. large bowl. Stir in remaining ingredients just until moistened (batter will be lumpy).
  5. Spread in pan.
  6. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until light golden brown and toothpick inserted in
  7. center comes out clean.
