Ingredients

  • slices bacon crumbled crisp
  • tablespoons butter 
  • ounces cup heavy whipping cream sour
  • large eggs 
  • cup mild cheddar cheese shredded
  • 0.5 cup mushrooms diced
  • 0.5 cup mushrooms diced
  • 0.3 cup onion finely chopped
  • tablespoons bell pepper diced green red finely
  • dash salt and pepper 
  • 1.5 cups swiss cheese shredded
  • 9-inch pie crust dough ()

Equipment

  • aluminum foil

Directions

  1. Poke holes on the inside of the pie crust with a fork. Line the inside of the pie crust with foil and bake at 450 degrees F for 8 minutes.
  2. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until the crust is set and dry.
  3. Remove the crust and reduce the oven to 350 degrees F.
  4. Saute the onions, peppers, and mushrooms in the butter until softened.
  5. Combine the vegetables with the remaining ingredients and pour the mixture into the pie crust.
  6. Bake the quiche at 350 degrees F for 40 minutes or until the center is set.
  7. Let stand for 10 minutes before cutting. Top each slice with a dollop of Daisy.
