1.5 cups apple sauce (natural, no-sugar-added, no cinnamon)
0.5 tsp double-acting baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1.5 cup chocolate chips mini (or regular size)
43 grams cocoa powder - i used callebaut dutch
3 large eggs
312 grams flour all-purpose
2 cups granulated sugar
0.5 tsp salt (I used 1 teaspoon)
1 cup butter unsalted melted (I used )
2 tsp vanilla - i used two

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and spray two 9 x 5 loaf pans with nonstick (flour-added) cooking spray. Don’t fill the pans more than 2/3 full.In a medium bowl, mix the flour, cocoa, salt, baking soda, and baking powder and set aside.In a large mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter and sugar until combined.
Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Add the vanilla and applesauce and mix until well combined.
Add the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. Stir in the chocolate chips.
Pour batter into prepared pans.
Bake side by side for about 50 to 55 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
