  • cup fully bananas ripe mashed ( 2)
  • 0.5 cup butter softened
  • 2.3 tsp calumet baking powder 
  •  eggs 
  • 1.5 cups flour 
  • 0.5 cup milk 
  • 0.8 cup sugar 
  • 1.3 cups vanilla wafers crushed finely
  • 0.8 cup planters walnuts divided chopped

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350F.
  2. Mix flour, wafer crumbs and baking powder until blended.
  3. Beat butter and sugar in medium bowl with mixer until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs; mix well. Blend in bananas.
  5. Add flour mixture alternately with milk, beating well after each addition. Stir in 1/2 cup nuts.
  6. Pour into 9x5-inch loaf pan sprayed with cooking spray; sprinkle with remaining nuts.
  7. Bake 1 hour 10 min. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 min.
  8. Remove from pan to wire rack; cool completely.
