Ingredients

  • 0.5 small onion sweet yellow finely chopped
  • 0.5 cup mayonnaise 
  • tbsp parmesan freshly grated
  • tbsp parsley fresh finely chopped
  • servings salt and pepper freshly ground
  • slices sandwich bread white

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 35
  2. Mix onion, mayonnaise, parmigiano-reggiano, and parsley in a medium bowl. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Remove crusts from the bread. Using a 1" round cookie cutter, cut bread into 32 rounds.
  4. Place on a cookie sheet and bake, without turning, until golden, 1015 minutes.
  5. Preheat broiler.
  6. Spread about 1 tsp. onion mixture onto each round, then sprinkle with more parmigiano-reggiano and brown under broiler for 12 minutes.
  7. Serve immediately.
