  • 1.5 cups sugar white

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease two 9 inch round cake pans.
  2. Sift the flour with the baking soda and salt three times.
  3. Boil the water and add it to the chocolate, and stir until melted.
  4. Cream together the butter or margarine and the sugar.
  5. Add the eggs and mix well. Stir in the vanilla.
  6. Blend in the chocolate mixture to the creamed mixture.
  7. Add the flour alternately with the sour cream, beating well after each addition.
  8. Pour batter into two 9 inch round cake pans.
  9. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 30 minutes or until cakes tests done.
