  • 14 oz beef broth canned
  • slices bread french toasted
  • Tbsp butter 
  • large onions spanish peeled sliced
  • 0.3 cup parmesan cheese grated kraft
  • cup swiss cheese shredded kraft
  • cups water cold

Equipment

  • frying pan
  • ladle
  • broiler

Directions

  1. Melt margarine in large skillet on medium heat.
  2. Add onions; cook about 15 minutes or until golden brown, stirring frequently.
  3. Add broth, water and bay leaf; stir. Cover; simmer 15 minutes.
  4. Remove and discard bay leaf.
  5. Preheat broiler. Ladle hot soup evenly into 6 ovenproof bowls; top each bowl of soup with a toast slice.
  6. Sprinkle evenly with cheeses.
  7. Broil 5 to 10 minutes or until cheese is golden brown.
