  • 0.8 teaspoon baking soda 
  • cup flake cereal whole-wheat (such as Wheaties)
  • 0.5 cup apricots dried chopped
  • 0.5 cup cranberries dried
  •  eggs 
  • cup flour all-purpose
  • 0.3 cup butter softened
  • 0.3 cup blackstrap molasses 
  • cup quick-cooking oats 
  • 0.5 cup sugar 
  • teaspoon vanilla extract 
  • 0.3 cup wheat germ toasted

Directions

  1. Cream the sugar and margarine at medium speed of a mixer until light and fluffy (about 3 minutes).
  2. Add molasses, vanilla, and egg; beat well.
  3. Combine flour, oats, cereal, wheat germ, and baking soda; stir well. Gradually add to creamed mixture, beating well. Stir in cranberries and apricots.
  4. Drop the dough by level tablespoons onto baking sheets coated with cooking spray.
  5. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes; let cool on pans 1 minute.
  6. Remove from pans; let cool completely on wire racks.
