  • cup celery chopped
  • teaspoons chili powder 
  • 1.5 ounce hamburger buns whole-wheat
  • 0.3 cup bottled hot-and-spicy barbecue sauce 
  • teaspoons olive oil 
  • cup onion chopped
  • 0.5 teaspoon oregano dried
  • 0.5 teaspoon pepper 
  • 0.3 teaspoon salt 
  • ounce tempeh crumbled
  • cups tomatoes in purée canned crushed undrained
  • 0.3 cup water

Directions

  1. Heat oil in a nonstick skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add onion, celery, carrot, and tempeh, and saut 5 minutes. Stir in tomatoes and next 6 ingredients (tomatoes through salt). Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Uncover and cook an additional 3 minutes or until mixture is slightly thick.
  3. Serve on hamburger buns.
