  • 64 ounce ruby grapefruit juice red
  • servings garnish: mint sprig fresh
  • 0.5 cup mint leaves chopped
  • servings try build-a-meal 
  • 1.5 cups sugar 
  • cup water

Directions

  1. Bring sugar and 1 cup water to a boil in a saucepan.
  2. Add mint; cover and let stand 5 minutes.
  3. Pour through a fine wire-mesh strainer into an 8-cup container; discard mint.
  4. Add grapefruit juice.Divide mixture into 2 (1-quart) freezer containers; cover and freeze at least 4 hours.
  5. Let stand 30 minutes before serving. Scrape with a spatula, or process, in batches, in a food processor.
  6. Garnish, if desired.
