Ingredients

  • 12 ounce beer canned
  • 0.5 cup celery thinly sliced
  • 10.5 ounce condensed chicken broth divided canned
  • 1.5 cups ham smoked diced
  • tablespoons flour all-purpose
  • cups half-and-half 
  • tablespoons butter melted
  • cup onion finely chopped
  • 16 ounce process cheese spread cubed

Directions

  2. Measure 1/4 cup chicken broth, and set aside.
  3. Add remaining broth, half-and-half, beer, and cheese to ham mixture. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until cheese melts.
  4. Combine reserved 1/4 cup broth and flour in a small bowl; stir until smooth.
  5. Add flour mixture to mixture in pan, stirring constantly. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until slightly thickened.
