Ingredients

  • 0.5 lb sausage meat italian
  • 10.2 oz biscuits refrigerated canned (5 biscuits)
  • 0.3 cup onion chopped
  • 1.5 cups pasta sauce 
  • 0.3 cup bell pepper red chopped
  • oz mozzarella cheese shredded

Equipment

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 375F. In 8-inch skillet, cook sausage, onion and bell pepper over medium heat 10 minutes, stirring frequently, until sausage is no longer pink; drain. Cool 10 minutes.
  2. Separate dough into 5 biscuits. On ungreased large cookie sheet, press each biscuit into 6-inch round. Top half of each round with sausage mixture and cheese to within 1/2 inch of edge. Fold dough over filling; press edges firmly with fork to seal.
  3. Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  4. Serve warm calzones with warm pasta sauce for dipping.
